It was an extraordinary day at Akakro School!

During our July mission, our team delivered 130 Luke lights to children in the 4th, 5th, and 6th grades. The children and teachers were thrilled with the Luke lights, anticipating how they would brighten the dim classrooms during the day and assist with their studies at home during the evenings! Our goal is to raise enough funds to purchase lights for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade students by December.

In addition to the Luke lights, every child in the school received a backpack filled with school supplies for the upcoming academic year. With six classrooms at Akakro School, each teacher was provided with a bin brimming with supplies to enhance classroom learning. Furthermore, we presented a special gift to each of the six teachers—a Samsung tablet to aid in lesson planning and teaching methods development.

We are immensely grateful for all donations of school supplies, and we continue to welcome both supplies and monetary contributions toward our July 2019 projects for the school. This July, our focus will be on repairing the school's deteriorating roof. During the mission, we will dedicate two days to painting and making necessary repairs to ensure a conducive learning environment for the students.
