Luke Light Delivered! July 2018

It was a great day in Akakro School!

Our July team delivered 130 Luke lights to children in the 4th, 5th, and 6th grade. The children and teachers loved the Luke lights and are excited about being able to use these lights to help them light the dim classrooms during the day and using them at home to help them study at night! Our goal is to have enough funds raised to purchase lights for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade students in December. 

During the event every child in the school received a backpack with school supplies for the upcoming school year. Akakro school has six classrooms and each teacher was given a bin full of supplies to be used in the classrooms in the fall. A very special gift was given to each of the six teachers being a samsung tablet to use in their classrooms and help the teachers develop lessons and teaching methods.

We are so thank-full for all donations of school supplies we will continue to accept donation of school supplies and monetary donations towards of July 2019 projects for the school. This July we will be focusing on repairing the roof of the school that is in very bad shape. We will spend 2 days during the July mission painting and making necessary repairs to the school.
