Empower Girls in Ivory Coast
Join Us in Making a Difference!
We are excited to announce the AYA Project’s upcoming initiative to provide essential health education and reusable menstruation products to girls in Nadarko, Yomssukkro, Ivory Coast.
Event Details:
-
Date: January 12th
-
Participants: 30 girls aged 10 to 18
-
Cost to Sponsor a Girl: $20
What’s Happening?
On this special day, we will host an educational event in partnership with Days for Girls. The program will include:
-
Health and Period Education: Teaching girls about their bodies and menstrual health.
-
Reusable Kits: Each participant will receive a Days for Girls kit, which includes pads, underwear, and supplies designed to last for up to ten years.
-
Fun Activities: Enjoy a day filled with joy, including a photo station, manicures by local beauticians, a healthy lunch, and dancing!
Why This Matters:
Many girls in this village lack access to proper menstrual products and often resort to harmful alternatives. Our mission is to eliminate the stigma surrounding menstruation and empower these young women with the knowledge they need to take control of their health.
How You Can Help: We need your support to make this day a reality! By sponsoring a girl for just $20, you will help cover:
-
The cost of a Days for Girls kit
-
Educational materials
-
Lunch and activities for the day
-
Shipping of the kits from the US to Ivory Coast
Over the years, AYA Project has made a significant impact, providing over 350 kits and educating more than 400 girls. While we may not change the world for everyone, we can certainly change the world for one girl at a time.
