AYA hosted a remarkable free health clinic in Akakro village, extending essential medical services to the community. Each patient who visited the clinic received deworming medications, underwent health screenings, and received necessary treatment for general health conditions. Over the course of just one day, we attended to more than 200 patients, filled over 100 prescriptions, provided over 250 over-the-counter medications, and distributed numerous pairs of reading glasses!

Looking ahead, we are excited to expand our impact by hosting two clinic days in two locations next year. Additionally, AYA is committed to following up on the care of five patients identified during the clinic who require ongoing treatment and care. We are particularly hopeful for the case of one very special patient we met last year, and we are actively seeking opportunities to facilitate an evaluation and secure the necessary surgery and treatment for him.
