Yopougon PEACE Tournament 2016
Aya Project proudly hosted our 3rd Peace Tournament in Macroy on December 30th and 31st! The tournament brought together players and the community for two days of harmonious play. With four teams competing fiercely for the title of PEACE Tournament Champions, each participant received trophies and medals, while awards were bestowed for sportsmanship and an MVP.
Held right in the heart of the community, our event took place in the middle of the road! From the photos, you can witness the dedication and hard work of the players in both the game and the preparation leading up to the event. During the finals, we were treated to dance performances by two neighborhood dance groups, and a local DJ generously donated his music and served as the event announcer. It was truly a fantastic day!
We're thrilled to announce that we'll be hosting another soccer event here in July, with plans to expand and include more teams in the festivities.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Fulton Youth Soccer for their generous jersey donation, which our team proudly wore. Additionally, a special thank you to the PEACE Passers for providing all the game balls for this event, as well as to those who chose to wear socks in support. We're incredibly grateful for all the donations received and eagerly anticipate continuing these inspiring events in the future!
