AYA Project has parented with Akakro elementary school for the last three years. Together we have completed some amazing projects to help support the students of Akakro School. 

• 2017 - donated funds for school lunch program.

• 2019 - built a playground for all the children and community to enjoy

• 2018 - donated 200 Luke Solar Lights to all the school children 

• 2018 - Donated 4 RCA computer tablets to the teachers and principle of Akakro school 

• 2018 - Donated school supplies to each classroom 

• 2018 - Donated sling backpacks to every child at the school

• 2017 - Donated school supplies for each classroom 

• 2018 - Painted all classrooms and exterior of the school

• 2018 - made minor repairs to ceilings in classrooms 2 & 4

Our goal for 2020 is to provided power and electrical panel to the school. We would like to get the power on in the main school building. This would provide lights in 3 of the six classrooms, as well as power to another room that we hope to in the future create a library and computer lab.

We are working with local contractors over the next couple of months and should have a idea of costs and time line for this project by the end of March. We are hopeful that we will be able to start this project this year.
